Whilst in Negombo, find a good beach spot and take a cool dip or enjoy sunbathing. You can get yourself lost in the buzz of the town exploring long and colorful streets. You will find yummy freshly made seafood, seashell ornaments, creamy ice creams and many more surprises while walking the streets.

Relax well and get yourself pampered before venturing your exciting holiday.

Today, venture towards the fish market in the morning. You will be heading to Sigiriya in the heart of the Island, the cultural Triangle where thriving ancient cities once existed and Sinhalese kings used to rule the lands. Relax and enjoy the beautiful views on your drive up with your chauffeur-guide which will take about four hours. There are plenty of small villages to see along the way — you might like to stop to try a street-side snack.

En route visit Dambulla Rock Cave Temple which is the largest and best preserved cave temple in the island containing hundreds of relics of Buddha statues.

We recommend visiting Sigiriya Rock with your chauffeur-guide early in order to avoid the crowds and the heat. Upon reaching the top of Sigiriya, spend time taking in the exhilarating vistas which go on for miles and ponder the ancient ruins where an ancient civilisation once lived. Sigiriya was built in the 5th century during the reign of King Kashapa and is probably the most fantastic wonder of Sri Lanka.

Once you come down enjoy a drink of a fresh King coconut and a slice of pineapple from a local vendor. Spend the evening in leisure by the hotel pool.

After breakfast, visit Polonnaruwa — a fascinating scattering of temples and palaces where a thriving community once lived over 800 years ago. With much of the site in ruins, your guide can explain the importance of certain temples and buildings, helping to give an idea of the collective history and importance of the site. In the afternoon enjoy a private evening safari to see herds of wild elephants and hopefully, weather permitting, you will see a beautiful sunset — this is sure to be a highlight of your trip. Please be aware that in Sri Lanka there are no restrictions on the number of jeeps that enter the National Park, so sometimes this can feel quite busy.
Drive about three hours to the city of Kandy today. Kandy is a countryside hamlet with cool breeze, leafy green landscapes, misty mountains gathered around the lake. By a leisurely stroll down the lanes, you can find a lot of seasonal fruits, vegetables and spices  also you will pass small shops with handcrafts, wood ornaments that you will want to stop and check. Later in the afternoon, make a visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which houses what is believed to be an ancient relic of Lord Buddha. Buy some beautiful fresh flowers before entering to the temple. Offer an oil lamp to the temple joining the local devotees!
This morning visit the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens. Take your time to walk around and soak up the huge variety of plant life. Afterwards, drive to Nuwara Eliya-one of the most scenic drives in the country as you pass through tea country with the mountains carpeted in tea, numerous waterfalls and tea pickers. Stop at a tea factory where the process of tea producing and grading will be explained. You will also be able to taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory. On arrival visit the markets famous for its fresh fruits and vegetables.
An early morning drive will take you to Horton Plains National Park, a world apart from the rest of Sri Lanka, a misty and a rain‐swept landscape that has fostered the growth of a unique ecosystem. Follow a circular walking trail that leads you to World’s End, a sheer drop of 1,000 meters down to the valley below, and to Bakers Waterfalls, straight out of a picture postcard.
After breakfast, board the scenic train to Ella. On arrival in Ella you can opt to hike the scenic Little Adam’s Peak and also visit Nine Arch Bridge – one of the most iconic bridges in Sri Lanka. A beautiful piece of architecture which stands in testament to the exceptional engineering skills of the British.
